Have you glimpsed the weekend forecast? The first number is a SIX. The high is going to be in the 60s. This means I might close my laptop and do a dance around my living room for just a second.
Or, we could all do what normal people do and attend some glorious autumnal parties.
TONIGHT: Put on a (thin) sweater and stroll the French-style street market at JAM, the artisans’ boutique in Scottsdale. The vendor list is charmed indeed. Think local chocolates from Tracy Dempsey, pastries, Arizona-made cheese, antiques and china, handmade baskets and journals, even local fruit and vegetables from The Simple Farm (like the pumpkin above). Picket Fences at JAM will be a monthly party, and tonight’s round one. 7 to 9 p.m., 6938 E. 1st St., Scottsdale.
In case you need a new sweater, may I recommend:
Bicycle print cardigan at Forever 21, $22
Leopard, $49.90, Zara
Stripes, $78, White House Black Market
Brights and pom-poms, Old Navy, $39 (also in hot pink):
Come back this afternoon for the details on a Saturday bash in Mesa that I’ve been excited about for weeks.
